My Journey!
I was born in West Africa and moved to the United States as a teenager, a change that brought more culture shock than I could truly understand at the time. It wasn’t until years later, through individual therapy, that I began to unpack how much that transition shaped me. Life has thrown its fair share of challenges my way, but each one has taught me something valuable—lessons that have helped me grow into someone who deeply values empathy, a listening ear, and an open heart.
My journey started humbly, working as a certified nursing assistant, and has led me to earning a master’s degree, with hopes of continuing my education even further. Through all the ups and downs, I wouldn’t trade the path I’ve walked—well, maybe I’d skip a few of the harder lessons if I could. But even those struggles have brought me to where I am today: someone who understands that healing isn’t a straight line and that every story, including yours, deserves care, understanding, and compassion.
My Baby!
I’m a proud dog mom to a six-month-old Aussiedoodle named Loki, and the past four months with him have been nothing short of transformative. From the moment he came into my life with his curious energy and wagging tail, Loki brought a joy and sense of responsibility I never knew I needed. He’s outgoing and full of adventure, always eager to meet new people and animals, spreading his infectious zest for life wherever we go. But he also has a tender, cautious side—new experiences can feel overwhelming for him, and in those moments, he looks to me for reassurance. Learning to be his source of calm has taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and presence—not only for him but in every area of my life.
Our daily walks together are more than just a routine; they’ve become sacred moments of connection and reflection. Watching Loki explore the world with such innocent wonder has inspired me to slow down and appreciate the simple joys—a breeze through the trees, the crunch of leaves underfoot, or the golden glow of the evening sun. His occasional fears remind me that even the most adventurous spirits need gentleness and support sometimes. Caring for Loki has softened me in the best way, making me more thoughtful and forgiving, not only toward others but toward myself. He’s shown me that growth often happens when we step into the unknown with trust and love, and I couldn’t be more grateful for everything he’s teaching me.
